Our Funding
We are indebted to every person who supports work.
We don't have a permanent office base or administrative staff in order to keep our running costs down. All of our staff are involved in delivering projects which directly benefit families living with HD in Northern Ireland. We rely on volunteers to help us with our work and are grateful to professionals who ensure that our costs for things like graphic design, printing, web design and accountancy are kept as low as possible.
Only 3.8p out of every £1 you donate is required for running costs and the rest is used in our project work.
We have fantastic family members and friends who run local events and take on amazing challenges to fund our services. Check out our HD Heroes gallery.
We also have some generous companies who sponsor our work with cash donations or run their own fundraising events through staff and customers. Some companies will also donate their products, services or staff to time to volunteer with us.
At times we are lucky enough to be awarded grants for specific pieces of work from charitable foundations, Trust or government initiatives.
